BLUESTAR® FORENSIC latent bloodstains reagent
BLUESTAR® FORENSIC is a new reagent whose purpose is to reveal blood stains that have been washed out, wiped off or which are invisible to the naked eye. This product is intended for crime investigators.
Based upon chemiluminescence, its unique formula qualifies it as the most effective blood revealer available on the market, for crime scene as well as forensic lab use.
BLUESTAR® FORENSIC does not alter the DNA of the revealed blood which allows for its subsequent DNA typing. It is also compatible with ABO typing. Furthermore, it is safer and easier to prepare and use.
BLUESTAR® Identi-HEM rapid test
for the detection of human haemoglobin
BLUESTAR® Identi-HEM is a rapid, qualitative immunochromatographic test, in a device, for specific detection of human haemoglobin.
It is primarily intended for forensic technicians who have found blood stains on a crime scene and need to quickly check the human origin of the blood before eventually sending a sample to a lab for thorough analysis.
Highly sensitive, and very easy to use on a crime scene, Identi-HEM specifically reacts with human haemoglobin. A positive result indicates a strong likelihood for the presence of human blood. A lab analysis will later confirm or infirm this presumption.
BLUESTAR® OBTI immunochromatographic test
for confirming the presence of human blood traces
The BLUESTAR® OBTI test is an ideal complement to BLUESTAR® FORENSIC but can also be used independently.
This test is very simple to use. Two or three minutes are typically sufficient to check whether the revealed trace is human blood or not.
Human hemoglobin (hHb) reacts with the conjugate composed of red particles and monoclonal anti-human hemoglobin antibodies.
BLUESTAR® Identi-PSA immunochromatographic test
for prostate specific antigen detection
BLUESTAR® Identi-PSA is a rapid qualitative test in a device for PSA detection from traditional biological samples (serum, plasma, or blood), but also from sperm samples collected with a swab either on the clothes or on the body of the presumed victim of a sexual assault.
BLUESTAR® Identi-PSA is perfectly suitable for use in forensic medecine:
- Highly sensitive: detects PSA levels higher than or equal to 4 ng/ml.
- Fast: reacts within 10 minutes.
- Easy compared with a traditional ELISA method.
