Introducing the MAGNUM

Dear Sir/Madam,

Above all, best wishes for 2006 from BLUESTAR.

BLUESTAR MAGNUM bottle and foilLet me present you our latest product, BLUESTAR® FORENSIC MAGNUM, the most concentrated form of BLUESTAR®.
3 times more powerful than the regular BLUESTAR® FORENSIC, BLUESTAR® FORENSIC MAGNUM has been especially formulated for the critical cases and for forensic lab technicians who need an extremely efficient chemical for detailed examination of items such as clothing or tools. It is also usable in a variety of situations, in a laboratory or at a crime scene that involves a limited search area.

So, what are the features you need to know about BLUESTAR® FORENSIC MAGNUM :

Who is the primary user? Forensic Laboratories, although the crime scene technician/detective may use it in special circumstances.

Why was it created? To provide a more sensitive investigative tool for detecting blood evidence.

Is total darkness required? No.

How is it applied? Place the three pills into the solution in the bottle and dissolve (within minutes). Use a spray bottle to spray in a mist.

How much will each bottle make? Bottle containing 125 ml (4 oz) of chemiluminescent solution and 1 foil packet containing 3 tablets of oxidizer. The product can also be used in three separate doses, for searching small objects (such as a garment). Pour 1/3 of the bottle content into the spray bottle, then add 1 tablet of oxidizer.

Will spraying the same bloodstain multiple times compromise the DNA analysis? No.

What is the active life of the solution when mixed? 24 hours.

What is the shelf life of the product before mixing? 3 years after date of manufacture.

Is the expiration date listed on the product? Yes.

Examples of “critical case” for a crime lab investigator

When minute blood particles are searched for (microscopic droplets that have been projected onto an agressor's clothing, objetcs, etc...)

When circumstances suggest that the evidence (clothing) was washed, or was removed from water (bath tub, pond, river, stream, lake) and it is feared that any blood may have been diluted to the point of being undetectable using normal techniques.

With the MAGNUM version, their discoveries are easier thanks to the increased sensitivity and intensity of the luminescence : such droplets, invisible to the naked eye, and even under a magnifyer, are sometimes the only evidence available to confound a murderer.

Please feel free to contact us for any further information you might need. I wish you a happy Christmas.

Yours sincerely,

Jean-Marc LEFEBVRE-DESPEAUX

President
